Different Ways to Donate to AWAIC
"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”– Winston Churchill
Become a champion and ambassador – you are the HOPE! Providing your financial support to help victims of domestic violence and using your voice to speak for those who have been silenced by abuse. Through advocacy, outreach and education, it is our wish that someday safe shelters such as AWAIC will no longer be needed; however, until that day, with the help of you and your support – AWAIC is here!
Below are a few of the giving options making a difference in the lives of abuse victims:
Support from corporate sponsors provides an enormous impact on the lives of countless abuse victims. Companies philanthropic efforts play an important role in our community.
Not everyone wanting to help abuse victims can afford a monetary gift; however, in-kind giving allows you to provide vital resources through the donation of goods such as clothing and personal items. Learn more about in-kind donations.
Planned Giving – Wills & Bequests
Your legacy is the ultimate ongoing gift providing lasting impact on the lives of abuse victims long after you are gone. Your unrestricted bequest will enable AWAIC to direct your funds where future need is greatest or restricted to a particular program. For more information, please contact Suzi Pearson, Executive Director, or Lilah Walker, Development Director.
Give Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds
Gifts of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds allow you to avoid capital gains tax liability, take an income tax deduction for the full amount of the donation.
