Volunteers are essential to AWAIC. They help organize and operate all major fundraising and educational events. Volunteers are also vital to our client services and office operations.

As an AWAIC volunteer, you help raise community awareness about domestic violence. You provide in kind services to programs, activities, and events that focus on our mission to help people live and love without violence.

There are many volunteer opportunities including leadership and management opportunities. People with strong sense of teamwork and lots of energy are especially encouraged to apply.

If you like to work with women or children:

  • Court advocacy
  • Answer crisis line
  • Assist with children’s groups
If you, your group or club would like to help:
  • Fundraising projects and events
  • "Adopt" AWAIC – do yard work or snow plowing
  • Provide much needed “Wish List” items to program participants.

AWAIC needs your time and talents. Please follow the link at the top of the page to see what our current and upcoming volunteer opportunities are.
